- Humphrey Corneal Topography System
 This new computerized photographic instrument surveys the cornea and provides a detailed topographical "map" of its shape. If you are considering new contact lenses or thinking about refractive surgery, this information is vitally important. This system is a major advancement in corneal analysis. This system can detect slight conditions often invisible to even the most thorough conventional testing and aids the doctor in properly prescribing glasses as well. The system also helps Dr. Vosseteig to monitor subtle changes on your cornea over time. Until now, instruments used for measuring the curvature of the cornea were only able to measure a small area near the center of the cornea. Contact lenses and refractive surgery, on the other hand, involve a much larger area of the cornea. This system measures a wide area of the cornea utilizing data from almost 8000 points. Colors are used to create a model of the cornea that Dr. Vosseteig will use to provide you with the very best eye care services possible.

A new highly sophisticated instrume nt now allows us to provide a more thorough medical analysis of your eyes. Our new Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer is one of the most advanced instruments developed for the eye-care field. It electronically measures Retinal Function and Optic Nerve Pathways for areas of diminished sensitivity to light in the central and peripheral (side vision) areas.
The instrument can assist in the early detection of many disorders, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, optic neuritis, and neurological conditions including brain tumors. These conditions affect a person's vision in ways one may not notice until the disease has become severe, and in some cases, may be the only effective way of detecting these problems, if they exist.
